Mia's love affair with music and theatre began at an early age, watching "Singing In the Rain" on Grandma Ann's lap.
She grew up in Westport, CT, grateful for its well-developed arts community. Mia enjoyed four rigorous years at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, earning her BFA in Musical Theatre. During her time in Cincinnati, she received Cincinnati Acclaim Awards for her performances as Trina in Falsettos and Missy in the regional premiere of The Marvelous Wonderettes. She was also honored by CCM with the Laurie Beechman Award for Vocal Performance and by the League of Cincinnati Theaters with a 2011 Rising Star Award.
Mia's favorite roles include Natalie in the regional premiere of Next to Normal (Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati), the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie (New London Barn Playhouse), and Maureen in Rent (CCM). She is currently livin' the life in Hamilton Heights, New York City. Mia enjoys being a Quaker, discovering new music, playing badminton all-too-competitively in the backyard, speaking Spanish, doodling, asking to pet other people's dogs on the street, devouring ice cream, reading fantasy novels, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
